Fun Things To Do In Southern Indiana This Weekend 5/11/22

Looking for something fun to do in Southern Indiana this weekend?

Here are just a few of the things going on in the 812:

We've been waiting for this faire since it was first announced many months ago. The Birdsell Castle in Charlestown has been renovated and will be hosting a Renaissance Faire. The event will feature roaming actors and characters including peasants, Vikings, pirates, and even members of royalty may make your acquaintance. Music, food, performances, and more will make this first (hopefully annual) Renaissance Faire a must-attend event. More info and tickets at the link below.

5/14 & 15, 10a-6p, Tickets Required

2. Highway 60 Yard Sale

The largest (and longest) yard sale in Southern Indiana is back. Travel along Hwy 60 through Borden, Pekin, and Salem on the hunt for deals and treasures. Individuals, groups, and businesses will be hosting sales all along the way.

5/14, 8a-3p, Free Admission

No Website Available

3. Music On Main at The Culbertson Mansion

Celebrate the start of warm weather and outdoor entertainment season in Southern Indiana with a visit to the Culbertson Mansion in New Albany. Bring a chair or a blanket and listen to live music on the lawn outside of the mansion. You are welcome to bring food and drink, but no alcohol is allowed. Arrive early and take a tour of the inside of the mansion (Tickets Required for tour).

5/14, 6-730pm, Free Admission

4. Nunsense at Clarksville Little Theatre

The Clarksville Little Theatre in Clarksville presents the musical comedy 'Nunsense'. This musical, which originated as a line of greeting cards from Dan Goggin, features a quick witted nun who "puts on a fundraiser by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidently poisoned by the convent cook." (Wikipedia) More info and tickets at the link below.

5/13 & 14, 8p, Tickets Required

5. Pop-Up Market Charlestown Square

The Pop-Up Market is back on the square in Charlestown. Local vendors and artists will be selling their crafts and wares. There will also be music and food. And you can watch as several artists paint their designs on picnic tables turning them into works of art.

5/14, 10a-1230p, Free Admission
