Updated: Oct 21, 2021

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are just a few of the things going on in the 812:

1. NoCo Mural Mile Painting Event

Such a cool opportunity to leave a mark on the city of Jeffersonville, without getting fined for painting graffiti. The Jeffersonville Arts and Cultural District is asking for volunteers to help paint what's being dubbed the "NoCo Mural Mile". Volunteers will help paint a path from the Big4 Walking Bridge to the entrance of the NoCo Arts Center. No experience is needed and they supply all of the materials. They do ask that you sign-up for a spot. See link below for more information.

10/23, 8a - 3p, Free admission, Sign-up Required

2. Fright Night 3 - Jeffersonville Wrestling

If you are looking for live and local pro wrestling action, than this is the event for you. Fright Night 3 will be held at The Arena in Jeffersonville and will feature several no-holds-barred wrestling matches along with live music from bands; Taken Lives, Ghost Bomb, and Foxbat. There will also be a costume contest with prizes. Come check out this unique live event in Jeffersonville. Here is an interview I did with the event organizer:

3. Corydon Extravaganza Fall Market

Event organizers describe this event as "a two-day curated vintage, junk & artisan festival that celebrates all things rusty, dusty, timeless & awesome!" This event will be held at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Corydon. In addition to shopping, the event will include the Southern Indiana Food and Wine Fair, so you get two events for the price of one! Live music and a car show on Sunday benefiting military veterans cap off this amazing extravaganza. Early Bird entry tickets can be purchased at the link below.

4. "Depot Days" Jeffersonville Arts District

This event was just announced this week and has been one we've been waiting on for a couple of years now. After some delay, Jeffersonville will officially open "The Depot" this weekend at the Jeffersonville Arts District. The Depot is a shipping container park that has space for artists to display and sell their wares, and a stage for live events. The event will showcase local art vendors, live music, food trucks, and a bar serving beer, wine, seltzers and more. This is a must attend event!

5. SoIN Concert Series - EVENT CANCELLED

THE 812 LIVING GROUP WAS INFORMED THAT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.

In the final concert of the season, the SoIN Concert Series, presents the Corydon Dulcimer Society. According to the group's website, their "primary purpose is to study, promote, preserve and educate the public in American Traditional folk music and folk instruments used in our cultural history.
